If you are interested in hosting your own event with the proceeds going to the Ontario SPCA Perth County Branch to help animals, please let us know by emailing perthcounty@ospca.on.ca. We can provide you with more information on how this can be done and we’d also love to thank you! Annual Friends For Life Paws In The Park Dog Walk-A-Thon
Date: Sunday, September 20, 2009
Location: Upper Queen?s Park Bandshell, Stratford
Time: Registration begins at 9:30am; walk 10am
Info: Dog not required! Please plan to join us for a pleasant walk through the park and along our beautiful Avon River. Pick up a pledge form at the shelter, a local pet store or vet clinic and start gathering pledges from family, friends and neighbours ? better yet encourage them to join you and your four-legged companion ? or get an entire team together! Or register on line at perthcounty.ontariospca.ca and email your online contacts to gather their support.

This event is our largest annual fundraiser and all funds raised go to help care for the animals at your local shelter. Events include a demonstration by the OPP Canine Unit ? always a crowd-pleaser ? as well as booths of local pet product vendors with free samples and giveaways for all participants. Each participant receives a free T-shirt and there are prizes for the top 20 pledge earners.

Tavistock Heritage Dog Walk

Info: Tavistock Rotary Club is presenting their first Heritage Dog Walk with a portion of the proceeds being donated to assist the ongoing work of OSPCA-Perth County. Best In Show Dinner Auction
Date: Thursday, November 19, 2009
Location: Rotary Complex, McCarthy Road, Stratford.
This is our 3rd annual auction event. Year to year, we have tripled in attendance and in fundraising results. This year, we're adding dinner, raffles, and an expanded auction item catalogue. With your participation and support, we will triple our results yet again. This year's auction will be bigger and better offering more items for auction including chef packages, art, wine, gifts, gift certificates, tickets to shows, amazing experiences and more! It will also include exciting raffles, dinner and of course a whole lot more fun. The Best In Show Dinner Auction is sure to be the best party in town so be sure to join us. Enjoy a cocktail, have dinner, shop competitively with or against your friends, and win raffles!
